14 Day Emt Course

14 Day Emt Course - I thought this was amusing if not rediculous. I observed yesterday and 75% of the class was from out of state so there is bound to be someone in here familiar with the book. In my opinion the student is better served 8 hours a day for 14 days in a row.versus 3/4 hours per night for 2 nights a week for months. That being said, i had the same accelerated class as @ventmonkey, graduated and had my nremt within a month. I completely forgot to ask about the book because i am sure i can get it cheaper online. We have run this program for almost 3 years. I needed the 5 month version. I am sure there are those smart enough to absorb everything in this period of time, but i am not one of them. I can't imagine you'd retain much of your knowledge for very long after cramming for 2 weeks. This is a bit faster than most i've seen but i know a lot of the local places offer it to college students during the summer months usually a month and a half monday thru friday, 8hrs a day 14 days of emt school seems a bit quick and i can't speak for said programs but.

Now, i'm in the navy, and the navy offers this type of training also, and coincidentally, also happens to be about two weeks, give a few days maybe. Does anyone happen to know the book used for the 14 day boot camp emt course at unitek in fremont, ca. It is my opinion that they would be cranking out nremt's that really didn't know much. The 6 month basic course is the same number of hours as the 2 week. I am sure there are those smart enough to absorb everything in this period of time, but i am not one of them. I live in oklahoma city, ok fyi. I thought this was amusing if not rediculous. I've also found a training. I've run across unitek college training; And whoever saves a life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world.
