Omsa Course

Omsa Course - Currently taking cse 6040 and mgt 8803. The 5 required courses for omsa are terrible, worse than anything offered in omscs. I am struggling to decide which course(s) to take next. I want to take two courses because i want to take just one course in the semester when i take dva. I've found an easy and interesting analytics track course progression that i'll do: And of course the practicum at the end. The elective courses for omsa have material that is just as interesting. Dva, business data analytics, deterministic optimization, simulation, cda 6740, bayesian statistics, regression analysis. The tas are noticeably worse, mostly on account of experience. Is it a good idea to take simulation and intro to analytical modeling, both during summer?

Even hours spent on the course (with a note if they were actually measured or are just i feel i spent 2 hours per week) is a better criteria. I think regression probably isn't necessary for this program unless you really need a deep dive into how linear models work, and even then, between mgt6203 and intro to analytics, you'll get enough to use. As the homeworks are in the form of reports, they’re a great way to practice your written communication of results and working through the analytical process for assignments.
